Description
Hannah (She/They) is an associate in Dentons’ National Tax group and is based out of the Toronto office. Passionate about taxation law and policy in both the profit and non-profit sectors, Hannah maintains a blended practice including corporate tax advisory, tax planning, business structuring, tax litigation and tax dispute resolution, and charity law. In addition to her general tax advisory practice, Hannah advises various non-taxable entities on tax status compliance matters, including pension corporations and not-for-profit corporations.
Hannah is a complex analytical thinker who is driven by a professional ethos of “think globally, act locally” when advising in all areas of commercial and social enterprise. She is committed to providing thorough, solution-oriented legal guidance to both domestic and international clients on income and indirect tax matters.
Hannah joined Dentons as a summer student in 2020 and articled with the Firm in 2022-2023. In law school, Hannah held leadership positions that aligned her love for legal research, writing and oral advocacy with philanthropic initiatives, entertainment and mentorship. Among other roles, she served as a domestic and US tax law research assistant, a senior editor for the University of Toronto Journal of Law and Equality, a co-director of her law school’s annual sketch comedy show, and a part-time student caseworker in the housing division of Downtown Legal Services.
