Description
Mariam Momodu (She/Her/Hers) is a senior associate in the Corporate and Commercial law, Securities, Mergers and Acquisitions, Venture Tech and Emerging Growth Companies, and International Trade groups at Dentons.

Mariam completed her LL.B at the University of Ibadan with first class honors and obtained a masters in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge. Mariam’s experience spans advising companies and leading international organizations on a range of corporate commercial matters including, mergers and acquisitions, international trade and corporate finance in emerging economies. Mariam has also advised early-stage and established companies in the technology, infrastructure and energy sectors, both as external and in-house counsel.

Mariam is a Doctoral candidate and Vanier Scholar at the University of Toronto where she studies the role of the private sector in facilitating trade and business within Africa. While attending the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Mariam volunteered with the Black Future Lawyers Mentorship program. She also volunteered with the Women’s Law Clinic at the University of Ibadan.
