Description
Abby McGivney is a litigator focusing on professional liability, insurance defence and commercial disputes. Abby prioritizes her clients’ legal and business needs, and consistently achieves results that are cost effective and practical. She has worked on matters before all levels of court in Ontario.

Abby was a summer and articling student at Miller Thomson before joining the firm as an associate in 2022. She currently acts as a mentor for articling students who are interested in litigation.

During her time at law school, Abby had extensive community involvement as an Orientation Leader and a co-chair of the Student Careers Committee. Abby also successfully represented Western Law at various moots including the Gale Cup Moot and the Canadian National Negotiation Competition.
