Macdonald Allen is a partner in the litigation practice group at WeirFoulds LLP. He practises in a range of commercial and civil litigation matters.

He handles complex commercial and civil disputes with pragmatic, business-minded strategies that advance clients’ objectives through negotiated solutions or hard-fought advocacy. Clients value his ability to isolate key issues, develop a clear plan, and deliver results aligned with commercial goals. Mac’s comprehensive experience includes special situations in business and securities litigation, contract and shareholder disputes, fraud and asset recovery, restructuring and insolvency, privacy, intellectual property, transportation and logistics, employment, and Indigenous matters. His work spans industries essential to societal function, including financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food processing, automotive, real estate, IT, construction, and sports.

Mac’s niche sports law practice includes advising athletes, teams, sponsors, and sport organizations on liability, compliance, sponsorship and image rights, employment, team selection, and conduct issues. A former Team Canada representative at the World Field Lacrosse Championships, Mac has helped launch the National Lacrosse Team Players Association and serves as a discipline Hearing Officer for the National Lacrosse League.
