Description
Hussein is developing a broad civil litigation practice, with a particular interest in complex commercial disputes, class proceedings, and product liability matters. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. He combines creative problem-solving with meticulous research and resolute advocacy to advance his clients’ objectives during their most challenging situations.

Hussein graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law with distinction, receiving the Justice Michael J. Moldaver Prize for the highest standing in his class in his graduation year. Prior to law school, he earned his Bachelor of Kinesiology with High Honours from the University of Toronto where he graduated in the top ten of his class. He also held a fellowship at the Society for Scholarly Publishing and received his Bioethics Certificate from Yale University.

Hussein is passionate about advocacy. He developed practical experience as an articling student at the Firm, where he regularly drafted motion materials and prepared research and analytical memoranda on various legal areas to guide strategic decisions. As a law student, he excelled in oral advocacy and received the Winning Team Prize and the Third Best Oralist Prize at the Callaghan Moot competition.

Hussein deeply enjoys making a difference by mentoring and supporting others, which earned him the 2023 University of Toronto Student Leadership Award upon graduation. In his spare time, Hussein enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and playing sports.

Hussein summered and articled at the Firm, and was seconded to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre during the summer of 2022.
