Description
Samita practices in a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings.

Samita has experience providing advice to private and public sector clients in a variety of real estate transactions. She has advised clients on real property financings, purchase agreements, construction agreements, condominium documents, affordable housing matters and a range of other agreements required to successfully develop real property.

Samita is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Western University, where she obtained her JD and LLM. Samita was an active member of the Western Law community, having served as Vice President – Finance of the Student Legal Society and acting on committees to organize numerous social events for students. Prior to law school, Samita earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Queen’s University.

Before joining Fasken, Samita was an Associate in the Real Estate group at a leading regional law firm in Toronto and also spent a number of years in-house as real estate counsel with Toronto Community Housing Corporation.
