Description
Catherine began their undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, before moving to Toronto to study law at Osgoode Hall Law School.
During their time at Osgoode, Catherine participated in the Osgoode Feminist Advocacy Clinic, which focused on the uniquely complex legal needs of survivors of domestic violence, approaching family law issues with a trauma-based approach. Catherine also participated in the Rebellious Lawyering Conference, held annually at Yale University in the United States, and in the Osgoode Fashion Law Society.
Post-graduation, Catherine worked extensively with low-income and Indigenous clients at a law firm in Timmins, Ontario, assisting clients with their family law and child protection matters involving various Children’s Aid Societies.
Outside of work, Catherine is passionate about LGBTQ* issues, studying media and various forms of storytelling, and international tea culture and industry.
