Description
Ekin Cinar is a dual-qualified arbitration and litigation lawyer in Dentons’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration and litigation, with a particular emphasis on the construction, energy, mining and shipping industries. She is also experienced in investment law and investor-state disputes.

Ekin has extensive experience in enforcement of arbitral awards, cross-border proceedings, and set-aside applications. She has acted under institutional rules including ICC, AAA, LCIA and ICSID, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations. As Vice President of Events and a Board Member of the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners, and member of the ICC Canada Arbitration Committee, Ekin is actively involved in promoting interest in and understanding of international arbitration in Canada.

Known for her critical thinking and client-focused approach, Ekin helps businesses navigate disputes and distressed situations effectively. She is based in Toronto and works in English, French, and Turkish. She also holds a Foreign Legal Consultant Permit issued by the Law Society of Ontario which enables her to advise in matters related to Turkish law in Ontario.
