Description
Stacey is a civil litigator with a broad litigation and dispute resolution practice. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, securities law, administrative law and class actions. As part of her civil litigation practice, Stacey represents clients in a range of commercial matters involving corporate governance disputes, directors’ and officers’ duties, breach of contract claims, and other business torts. She has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, Alberta Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Stacey also represents clients in investigations and administrative proceedings involving various regulators, including the Ontario Securities Commission and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, and she frequently advises clients on securities law compliance issues in their businesses and in the context of civil litigation.

Stacey is an advocate for the privacy rights of victims of image-based abuse. In addition to acting on a number of cases engaging privacy tort liability and the rights of individuals to protect and control their image, she frequently speaks and writes on legal matters related to privacy torts in Canada.
