Najma is also on the Board of Directors of OTLA and, for several years, she sat on the editorial board of The Litigator, a quarterly publication by OTLA. From 2015–16, during the global refugee crisis, Najma provided pro bono legal services to the University of Ottawa’s Refugee Sponsorship Support Program. She is a proponent of continuing legal education and has spoken at the County of Carleton Law Association Conference and the OTLA conference, has given webinars, and has organized and co-chaired two Long-Term Disability Insurance conferences in Toronto.
