Description
Matthew Samuels joined Beard Winter’s insurance litigation group in 2022 after articling at a prominent Toronto insurance defence boutique, providing services to several of Canada’s top insurance firms. He maintains a practice defending myriad insurance law disputes, including personal injury, occupier’s liability, product liability and property damage.

Matthew completed his LL.B at the University of York and subsequently completed an LL.M at Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, Matthew competed in various negotiation competitions, and was a founding member of both careerinlaw.net and the University of York Law’s Climate Justice Pledge chapter – all while representing the school on its soccer team.

Prior to attending law school, Matthew obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Western University.
