Description
Maral is an associate with the knowledge management and innovation team working with the litigation and dispute resolution group in both Vancouver and Calgary. Maral now focuses her practice on improving the efficiency of legal services by developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage legal information and capture, organize, and share our lawyers' collective knowledge.

Prior to joining Fasken, Maral was a litigator practicing general civil litigation and insurance defense for 10 years. She has conducted trials in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and has appeared before various administrative tribunals. She was also a PTLC instructor with the Law Society of British Columbia and a supervising lawyer with the Everyone Legal Clinic at Access Pro Bono.

Before becoming a lawyer, Maral was a public legal educator and a teacher. She planned, developed and facilitated various training workshops and created educational toolkits to help front-line workers in non-profit organizations find legal referral solutions for their clients.

Throughout her legal career, Maral has planned and lead innovative projects helping lawyers and legal personnel excel in the workplace. Through knowledge and education, Maral strives to find efficient and effective practice solutions for lawyers to better serve their clients.

Outside of work, Maral has been an avid martial artist for 20 years and enjoys baking, singing and playing the piano.
