Description
Elizabeth Cunningham is a senior associate at Branch MacMaster LLP, based in the firm’s Toronto office. Her practice focuses on general civil litigation and class actions, where she handles both plaintiff and defence-side actions. Elizabeth’s general litigation practice spans a variety of areas, including product liability, occupiers’ liability, general negligence and professional negligence.

In addition to her courtroom experience, Elizabeth has a strong background in administrative law. She has represented clients before various boards and tribunals, including the Ontario and BC Human Rights Tribunals, the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board, and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

Before joining Branch MacMaster in 2022, Elizabeth gained valuable experience as counsel at the federal Department of Justice, where she also completed her 2L summer and articles. Her experience and familiarity with both public and private sectors provides her with unique legal perspectives, particularly for clients navigating government regulations.

Outside of her legal practice, Elizabeth enjoys staying active through cycling and running and participating in the yearly Sporting Life 10K race and Baycrest’s Bike for Brain Health.
