Description
Andrew Jerjian is a Toronto-based associate in the firm’s Global Infrastructure & Projects Group. He has experience acting for lenders, export credit agencies, equity investors, sponsors and borrowers on a wide variety of international project development, finance and M&A transactions in the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.

Andrew has been a lawyer at two international law firms in London, UK. Andrew’s experience includes advising clients on the commercial and financing aspects of major greenfield projects, as well as the refinancing, restructuring and purchase / sale of brownfield assets. He also has experience advising on Islamic facilities, either as standalone financings or in combination with conventional facilities.

Andrew has advised on transactions in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia in sectors including wind, solar PV, nuclear, oil & gas, shipping and smart metering.

While in the UK, Andrew was seconded to HSBC as in-house counsel, where he worked on export, asset and infrastructure finance transactions – including a complex cross-border financing involving a Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO) structure.

Andrew is a qualified lawyer in Ontario, New York, and England.

Prior to qualifying as a lawyer in England, Andrew pursued a two-year training contract at an international law firm in London, UK. During his training contract, he worked in the corporate/M&A, energy & infrastructure and capital markets groups, as well as in the international arbitration group in Paris, France.
