Description
Doug is a family law and estate litigation lawyer and he joins us as counsel. He has over 38 years’ experience and insight in all aspects of family law and divorce, including issues involving property rights, parenting rights, child and spousal support, domestic contracts such as marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements and issues involving corporate, partnership and trust interests. His Estate Litigation practice includes issues involving the validity of Wills and other testamentary documents, Trusts, variation proceedings and claims involving support for dependents.

Doug makes every effort to resolve issues by negotiation, but if that isn’t possible within a reasonable period of time, he is a highly skilled advocate with extensive experience at all levels of the Courts in Ontario and on Mediations and Arbitrations.

Doug previously practiced at a well respected mid-size firm where he was a partner for eight years. Prior to that, he was a partner with a national firm and had practiced with that firm since he was called to the Bar in 1980.
