Description
Gida is passionate about family law and she has practiced family law exclusively since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2017. Gida’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law including parenting issues, child and spousal support, property division and the negotiation of domestic contracts. Gida represents clients in both litigation and forms of alternate dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration. Gida’s honest and approachable manner places clients instantly at ease and contributes to her success in achieving her clients’ aspirations.

Gida completed her legal education at the University of Alberta where she graduated with First-Class Standing. During law school, Gida was also awarded the Bruce Jones Memorial Scholarship, and the Betty Anne Segatto Memorial Prize in Real Estate for superior academic achievement in the subject of Real Estate Transactions. Over the course of her law school career, Gida was a student volunteer for both the Family Law Project and Student Legal Services in Edmonton focused on assisting disadvantaged clients and improving access to justice. Prior to law school, Gida attended University of Toronto graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Life Sciences where she was on the Dean’s Honour List for two years in a row.

Outside of the practice of law, Gida enjoys reading, gardening, hiking and spending time with her family and dog.
