Description
Shane Greaves is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on employment and real estate litigation. He acts for both employers and employees in employment disputes. He is also sought by employers to provide ongoing advice in an effort to avoid litigation altogether or ensure that the employer is well positioned for subsequent legal proceedings. With respect to real estate litigation, Shane’s experience includes representing clients in connection with mortgage enforcement, misrepresentation claims, trust claims, fraudulent conveyances and contract disputes. In addition, Shane represents both corporations and individuals in a wide range of other civil and commercial litigation matters. Shane prides himself on providing timely and actionable advice to his clients.

Shane has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has extensive experience appearing before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice where he has successfully conducted numerous trials, motions and applications. Shane has assisted on other cases before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has also represented clients before various administrative tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Ontario Labour Relations Board.

When not working, Shane’s interests include fitness, golfing and cheering on Toronto’s major sporting teams.
