Description
Ray Kovarik is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property group at our Montreal office. He also acts as a lawyer in Ontario and Massachusetts.
As part of his practice, Ray advises clients on intellectual property (IP) matters, with a particular focus on their patent needs. He is a registered patent agent in Canada and the United States, but also has experience in obtaining patents worldwide, including in Europe, China, Australia, etc. Ray provides clients with solutions to maximize the value of their innovations in high-tech fields such as software, financial technology, imaging, medical devices, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
In addition to drafting and prosecuting patent applications, he is experienced in preparing opinions on patentability, validity, freedom to operate and infringement. Further, he has assisted innovative national and international companies in various areas of intellectual property law such as patents, trade secrets, industrial designs and copyright.
