Mark Mahoney is a member of Dentons’ Business Law Group with a focus on mergers & acquisitions and corporate /commercial law matters, including reorganizations, financing transactions, securities and corporate governance. Mark’s deep understanding of the M&A market is the reason why public and private sector clients trust him for their most critical transactions to help them grow their businesses in Canada and globally. Mark advises on all aspects of cross-border transactions, working with private equity funds, private equity portfolio companies and multi-national corporations.

Clients depend on Mark as an extension of their team to help them navigate their most strategic transactions. He brings a business-oriented perspective to every matter, having led the in-house team at a national retail and B2B company, managing a diverse portfolio of litigation, privacy, employment, regulatory and IP issues. Mark acts for clients across a range of industries, including life sciences, cannabis, agribusiness, food and beverage, manufacturing, industrial, technology, energy and oil & gas. Mark also represents some of Canada’s largest and most recognizable charities, not-for-profits and industry associations. Clients appreciate his practical and pragmatic approach to deliver business solutions.

Mark continues to drive innovation in his practice. He launched and is co-lead of Dentons Canada’s HealthTech Subsector Group, which is comprised of more than 50 lawyers across Canada, and was shortlisted for Financial Times’ “Most Innovative Law firm in North America Award” in 2020.
