Description
Leslie joined Bayne, Sellar, Ertel, Macrae as an associate in 2023, after being called to the bar. Prior to joining the firm, Leslie completed her articles as a judicial law clerk at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. At the court, she assisted judges with a variety of complex criminal and civil matters. Before clerking, Leslie completed a fellowship at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and summered with a criminal defence firm.

Leslie obtained her J.D. from the University of Windsor in 2022, where she was the recipient of the 2022 Board of Governors Medal in Law. While in law school, Leslie volunteered as a senior caseworker at Community Legal Aid Windsor, served as a senior editor on the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues, and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law moot. Throughout law school, Leslie was a research assistant with a focus on public international law and international criminal law for Dr. Sujith Xavier and Dr. Sara Wharton.

Leslie holds a B.Des. from Ryerson University and an M.A. from York University in communication and cultural studies.
