Description
Laura Giesbrecht is an experienced business lawyer whose practice focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments. She also advises on matters relating to negotiated transactions, fund formation, corporate finance, corporate reorganizations and complex commercial transactions.

With a wide range of sector-specific knowledge, Laura works with clients in a variety of areas, including investment funds and asset management, private equity, venture capital, financial services, payments systems, information technology and manufacturing. She also regularly advises clients on joint ventures, limited partnerships and investment vehicles, including for real estate transactions and public infrastructure projects.

Prior to joining McMillan, Laura practised at an international law firm and served as corporate counsel at a leading Canadian financial institution.
