My family immigrated to Canada from South Africa in 1997. Although I was born in Cape Town, Victoria is very much my home. I completed my honours undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Victoria. I enjoyed my time at UVic so much that I went back for law school. After completing my Juris Doctor, I articled at The Law Centre in Victoria, where I gained experience as a litigator in civil, administrative, and human rights law.

After articling, I worked as an adjudicator for RoadSafetyBC, where I conducted hearings and independently wrote legally binding decisions on reviews of Immediate Roadside Prohibitions. Following this, I worked at a large firm in Victoria, practicing insurance defence alongside Bobbie Keigan, before she went on to found Corvus Law. I have been very fortunate to work with and learn from brilliant women in leadership throughout my working life. I was delighted and humbled when Bobbie asked me to come and work with her again at Corvus.

Currently, my practice concentrates on personal injury litigation. I also support clients with human rights and employment-related cases as well as a wide variety of other civil litigation matters. I take the time to appreciate my clients’ unique circumstances, which better enables me to vigorously defend their interests, whether in the context of a settlement or trial.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing boardgames, walking around Elk Lake, and competing with my team in an annual international scavenger hunt.
