Description
Jiwan’s practice focuses on employment, human rights, access to information, and privacy law.

She advises public and private sector clients on a variety of matters, including:

Employment standards,
Employee discipline and terminations,
Human rights and workplace accommodations,
Freedom of information requests and appeals,
Policy development, and
Privacy and data protection law compliance.

Jiwan summered and articled at BLG before returning as an associate. Jiwan was seconded to a Toronto-based hospital network’s legal department where she gained experience in advising on a variety of issues in health law. During law school, Jiwan worked as a privacy officer and a volunteer caseworker for legal aid clinics. She also interned at a leading firm to produce automated contract-generating software.
