Description
Jay (He/Him/His) is a partner in the Toronto office of the firm’s Banking and Finance group.

Jay advises both lenders and borrowers on a wide range of corporate and commercial lending transactions, including general cash flow financing and asset-based lending, whether structured as bilateral loans, widely syndicated loans or direct lending transactions. He has significant experience in leveraged finance and worked on numerous acquisition financing transactions both in Canada and in the United States, including large private equity sponsored leverage buyouts. Jay’s other areas of practice include fund finance, investment grade loans and insolvency related financing.

Jay is admitted to practice in Ontario and New York and has extensive experience leading on complex multi-jurisdictional lending transactions. He is fluent in French and can advise clients and negotiate documents in both English and French.

Prior to joining Dentons Jay worked in the Finance Group of a leading US law firm in New York. He also practiced as a foreign legal consultant at a leading law firm in Seoul, South Korea.
