Description
Great outcomes in family law matters are the result of careful preparation and appreciation of a client’s needs. Heather’s practice is built on hard work and insight based on experience. She works with clients in both Calgary and Vancouver, with a focus on cases involving complex matrimonial property issues and support claims.

Heather has represented clients before all levels of court, including the Court of Appeal. She practiced with a large family law firm before founding FC&Z Family Lawyers. Aiming to create a new kind of family law firm, Heather’s focus on resolving disputes on a practical basis has helped FC&Z become Canada’s fastest growing family & divorce law firm. Heather is committed to helping clients navigate divorce and separation to make a new beginning. She has also helped many families grow through adoption, including both step-parent and third party adoptions.

Heather graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in English in 2008 (with distinction) and from the University of Alberta with an LLB in 2011. She is an avid runner, and has run a number of half-marathons and 10 marathons, including the Boston Marathon (2017 & 2019), the London Marathon (2021), the New York Marathon (2022) and the Chicago Marathon (2019).
