Description
Gigi is an associate lawyer in the class actions department. She co-oped at a leading class actions boutique in Vancouver and articled at Siskinds prior to her call to the Bar in 2020.

Gigi has assisted in the litigation of securities, price-fixing, and consumer class actions, including shareholder proceedings brought by Siskinds against Blackberry Limited. Among other things, Gigi was part of the team that certified class proceedings against BMO Investments Inc, protecting the rights of mutual fund investors from the improper charge of trailing commissions.

Between 2021 and 2023, Gigi was seconded to Claims Funding Europe, a litigation funding firm in Dublin, Ireland. At Claims Funding Europe, Gigi helped manage complex securities and competition claims in Europe and Asia, including Dutch litigations arising out of high-profile price fixing scandals by major European truck manufacturers. Gigi also assisted on securities actions in Japan, Germany and Italy.

Gigi earned her J.D. from the University of Victoria, where she competed in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot and completed a co-op semester in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In her spare time she enjoys reading and playing her bagpipes.
