David Dunlop is a leading business lawyer with extensive experience advising clients in private equity, aerospace and defence, manufacturing, as well as real estate, media, communications and entertainment.

With recognized expertise in negotiating transactions and complex commercial arrangements, David’s primary focus is assisting in the acquisition and sale of businesses, private equity transactions, corporate finance, corporate governance and outsourcing.

David regularly advises on all aspects of corporate / commercial matters, acting for domestic and international clients in regard to corporate establishment, restructuring and operations. He has been repeatedly recognized by Best Lawyers as a leading corporate lawyer and in Lexpert as a leading lawyer in cross-border transactions.

Over the course of his career, David has served two secondments as interim general counsel of a multinational financing corporation. He also draws on significant experience in sales and marketing of commercial and consumer products and services.

David is a three-term member of McMillan’s Management Committee and two-term member of McMillan’s Board of Partners.
