Barbara practices primarily in commercial litigation area with expertise in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

Education
Barbara graduated with her Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1991. Prior to law school Barbara obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology in 1988 also from the University of Western Ontario. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1993.

Barbara has been practicing law with Siskinds LLP for over 30 years, primarily in the commercial litigation area with expertise in bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She is committed to helping her clients find practical and creative solutions for all of their legal needs, whether they are individuals, businesses, Licenced Insolvency Trustees or receivers. Where resolution is not possible she is a strong advocate for her clients before the courts and has had successful appearances as counsel before various courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

When not at work or volunteering her time, Barbara enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, baking and photography.

Barbara’s adventure of her lifetime was a father-daughter transatlantic sailing trip in a 35-foot Sloop. To which she would be delighted to share her stories with other sailing enthusiasts.
