Description
Anna Morrish is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group at WeirFoulds LLP.

Prior to joining WeirFoulds, Anna practised as an IP Litigation Associate at a global law firm, focusing on contentious intellectual property matters, particularly in trademarks, copyright, and confidential information. She has represented clients in trademark oppositions and cancellations, worked on high-profile trademark and copyright disputes before the Federal Court, and assisted with the management of global trademark portfolios, including coordinating enforcement strategies with foreign counsel. Anna also advised on copyright protection and regulatory compliance of advertising and marketing campaigns under Canadian law.

During law school, Anna was an active oral advocacy competitor. In her first year, she and her teammate placed third at the Canadian Client Consultation Competition in Edmonton. In her second year, she joined Osgoode’s International Criminal Court team, competing in The Hague and earning a personal speaking award. In her final year, Anna served as lead counsel for Osgoode’s Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot team, where her team placed second overall. Since graduating, she has remained engaged in the mooting community by coaching teams preparing for the Oxford International Intellectual Property Moot.

Before attending law school, Anna worked as a Registered Nurse in the neurological intensive care unit at a downtown Toronto hospital.
