Prior to joining Aird & Berlis, Andrew worked in the Tax Legislation Division of the Department of Finance, where he was involved in the formulation of tax policy and drafted various amendments to the Income Tax Act. This first-hand knowledge of Canadian tax law allows Andrew to identify creative solutions to complex tax issues others may miss. He is a problem solver and enjoys the challenge of finding answers to clients’ problems. A great communicator, Andrew presents his advice in a way his clients can comprehend, ensuring an open dialogue and optimal outcomes.

As a member of the firm’s Tax Group, Andrew’s tax practice focuses on income tax in the areas of derivatives, corporate and international tax including non-resident trust, foreign affiliate, domestic corporate reorganizations and derivative products.
