Description
Abubaker is part of LMR’s Civil Litigation and Estates and Succession groups. Abubaker articled with the firm and previously practiced law at a regional firm in the Middle-East and East-Africa, where he gained advocacy experience in high conflict trials and arbitration proceedings. Abubaker is now working closely with LMR’s senior civil litigation and estates lawyers.

Abubaker is developing a practice with a focus on civil litigation, construction law, arbitration, and estates law. He has represented clients in various levels of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Abubaker obtained an LLB with Honours and was called to the Sudanese Bar in 2020. After which, he obtained a Master of Laws degree at McGill University with a focus on International Commercial Arbitration. Abubaker was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023.

Abubaker is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the County of Carleton Law Association and the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners.

Outside the office, Abubaker has a passion for football (soccer) and previously played at the semi-professional level. He loves to exercise and enjoys the outdoors.
