Description
I am an advocate who prioritizes my clients’ needs and was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2020. I chose to become a lawyer as I wanted to help others solve problems and achieve goals. I attended University of Victoria as it was the only Canadian law school to offer a co-op program. My four co-op terms were all in public law and I continue to desire to provide legal services which further the public interest.

My advocacy experience has included civil litigation and tax matters. Most recently I have maintained a broad litigation practice with a focus on positive outcomes for my clients in commercial and civil disputes. I have acted for corporate and individual clients in a range of matters, including contract enforcement, fraud, oppression, debt recovery, and defamation. My focus on litigation has led to appearances in the British Columbia Supreme Court and Court of Appeal and regular appearances in chambers. Prior to articling with a tax litigation firm, I worked as a tax preparer, policy analyst, and agent with the Canada Revenue Agency.

I am dedicated to serving the community and often assist self-represented individuals at the courthouse. I seek further opportunities to educate and provide pro-bono legal services to individuals and organizations.

During my leisure time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my children, collecting related media in multiple formats, finding unique menu items, and being entertained at comedy shows and live theatre. I am also an avid rugby fan and spend weekends overlanding in my SUV or wheeling my Jeep TJ.
