Tracey Stock has 30 years of experience as legal counsel with severaloil and gas exploration and production companies and private practice in all aspects ofenergy law. Tracey has extensive experience in domestic and international oiland gas property acquisitions and dispositions, property exchanges, and diversejoint venture transactions. He negotiates and drafts agreements relating to allaspects of the energy industry and manages large due diligence teams deliveringhigh value on time. He is a part-time Hearing Commissioner with the Alberta Energy Regulator.Tracey graduated in chemical engineering at the University of Toronto andpracticed petroleum engineering in Alberta for several years before earning alaw degree from the University of Calgary. He is called to the bar in Albertaand Saskatchewan and is a professional engineer.Tracey instructs business law at Mount Royal University and survey lawat the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. He also leadscourses and seminars in law to industry and professional organisations and haspublished several articles dealing with legal issues in the petroleum industry.Tracey is a Practice Assessor with the LawSociety of Alberta. As a professional engineer, Tracey also serves APEGA on its Investigative Committee. In 2017, Tracey was recognized with APEGA’s Summit Award for Community Service and was presented with The Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers by the Governor General of Canada.
