Description
Spencer is an associate lawyer with the firm’s business law group, practising corporate/commercial law with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and securities and corporate governance.

Spencer maintains a broad corporate/commercial practice, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (public and private), corporate/commercial transactions, and securities. Spencer is called to the Alberta and British Columbia bars and has experience assisting clients in a wide range of industries, including retail, mining, technology, professional services and life sciences.

Spencer obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and his Bachelor of Science in life sciences from McGill University. At McGill, Spencer worked as a research assistant in the Pain Genetics Lab and volunteered with the Taylor Adolescent Program to mentor students with neurodevelopmental conditions and learning disabilities.

Prior to joining MLT Aikins, Spencer practiced corporate/commercial, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law with a leading regional firm in Vancouver, British Colombia, where he also summered and articled.
