Description
Shirley is an associate in the firm’s Vancouver office with a focus on commercial litigation.

Shirley has worked on both litigation and solicitor matters, including shareholder disputes, intellectual property enforcement and litigation. She has acted for a range of clients, including shareholders and directors of corporations, real estate purchasers and vendors, financial institutions, employers, employees and government subsidiaries. She has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Provincial Court of British Columbia and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal. She has also assisted with disputes before the Court of Appeal of British Columbia and arbitration or mediation.

During law school, Shirley was an editor for the Canadian Journal of Comparative and Contemporary Law.

Prior to entering law school, Shirley obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in English literature and a minor in commerce. She is also a former registered pharmacy technician, having worked in both community and hospital pharmacies for more than 11 years. Shirley is fluent in Mandarin.

Outside of the office, Shirley enjoys catching up on new Netflix shows and trying new happy hour menus. She also spends much of her free time figure skating, a hobby she picked up as an adult during COVID-19.
