Description
Sarah works with executors and trustees in managing complex estates and trusts, with a focus on estate administration, including winding up of trusts, as well as litigation. She assists lawyers with a variety of court proceedings, including probate applications, applications for passing of accounts, guardianship orders and orders relating to real property. In her trust and estate administration work, Sarah frequently liaises with beneficiaries, accountants, investment advisors, valuators and other professionals.Over the course of more than three decades in the legal field, Sarah has completed courses at the Canadian Securities Institute and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), showcasing her commitment to professional development and industry standards. Courses completed include Foundations of Estate & Trust Administration and Advanced Topics in Estate & Trust Administration at Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, STEP, 2017-2019, Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course, Canadian Securities Institute, 2015, and Law Clerk program, Centennial College,1989.
