Born in Vancouver, B.C., attended Queen’s University B.A. (Hons). attended University of Alberta for Graduate School, worked in Department of Federal and Intergovernmental Affairs for Government of Alberta, 1981 – 87, attended Law School, University of Alberta, articled at Brownlee Fryett (now Brownlee LLP), appointed Parliamentary Counsel, Legislative Assembly of Alberta, September 1993, rose to Senior Parliamentary Counsel, Law Clerk and Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, retired from public service September 2018, joined Alberta Counsel as Senior Counsel, March 2019.
