Description
Patrick Corney is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency group at Miller Thomson. He advises on insolvency matters and commercial disputes, with a particular focus on financial restructuring litigation. Pat has worked on some of the most complex restructurings and related litigation in Canada, often involving cross-border and multi-jurisdictional considerations. His clients include senior creditors and debtor companies in a variety of industries including steel, technology, retail, cannabis, and energy, where he helps navigate financial distress, regulatory challenges, and strategic issues.

Pat has been published in the Journal of the Insolvency Institute of Canada, the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review, and the Commercial Insolvency Reporter. Recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada (Insolvency and Financial Restructuring Law), he also serves as Vice-Chair of The Advocates’ Society Insolvency Litigation Practice Group.
