Bencher for the Okanagan region and Past President of the CBABC and ADRBC, Michael is a lawyer with almost 40 years of litigation experience, having been lead counsel on over a thousand hearings, trials and appeals in all levels of court in BC and in the Supreme Court of Canada, including some 50 formally reported decisions. He has extensive ADR experience., and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), Chartered Mediator (C. Med.), Chartered Arbitrator (C. Arb.),  Law Society certified family law mediator and arbitrator, and a Certified Family Arbitrator (C. Fam. Arb.) Through his years as lawyer and dispute resolver, and as a member of professional, wine industry and community organizations, he is well-versed in in problem and dispute resolution and in understanding and working with people in difficult situations toward a positive outcome. He is author of numerous articles in the Advocate, BarTalk and Canadian Arbitration and Mediation Journal magazines, is author of the Advocate Wine Column and has served as a faculty member in many continuing legal education events for CLEBC, CBABC and TLABC amongst other organizations.
