Michael Britton is an associate in the Business Law Group at Cassels. Michael’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, advising both public and private companies on a variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate reorganizations, public offerings, and private placements. Michael assists clients from a variety of high growth industries, such as the technology, financial services, manufacturing, and cannabis sectors. Michael has also completed a secondment with one of Cassels’ private equity clients, where he worked on a variety of complex cross-border debt and equity investments.Michael received his J.D. from Windsor Law in 2017, where he was an active member of several extracurricular initiatives, including the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. Michael was also the captain of the University of Windsor Varsity Golf Team. Prior to attending law school, Michael worked at a leading company in the hockey industry as a member of the global marketing team.
