Description
Meaghan Obee Tower is a partner in the Banking & Finance, Financial Products & Services, Insurance & Reinsurance, and Restructuring & Insolvency Groups. Her practice focuses on secured and unsecured lending, debt financing, financial services regulation and corporate insolvency/restructuring.

In terms of her banking and finance practice, Meaghan has extensive experience as counsel to borrowers, lenders and lending syndicates in private acquisition financings, corporate finance, private equity leveraged acquisition financing, debtor-in-possession lending, asset-based lending, and various other types of financing, both domestic and cross-border across a broad spectrum of sectors.

Meaghan’s regulatory practice focuses on providing advice to banks, trust companies and the insurance sector on regulation and compliance matters, including in connection with both normal course regulatory compliance such as licensing and reporting, and regulatory matters in connection with extraordinary transactions such as formation, acquisitions and dispositions.

Meaghan has been recognized in a number of legal publications in the Asset-Based Lending and Banking & Finance practice areas.

Professional Activities
Meaghan is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
