Description
Max is a member of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. He is a fierce advocate, whose practice covers a range of litigation matters, including securities, construction and product liability. Max has particular experience in civil and regulatory proceedings against directors and officers, broker/dealer disputes, shareholder disputes and class actions.

Max has acted as lead counsel before all levels of court in Ontario and has represented clients before courts in Alberta, British Columbia, and Quebec, and numerous administrative boards and tribunals, including the Ontario Securities Commission. He has significant class actions defence experience representing both domestic and multinational clients.

Max is a sessional instructor at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, where he teaches a course on white-collar crime. He also volunteers as Duty Counsel with the Ontario Securities Commission Litigation Assistance program, assisting unrepresented litigants facing OSC proceedings, and as Duty Counsel for the Holland Bloorview Pro Bono project, representing families denied government benefits in proceedings at the Social Benefits Tribunal.
