Description
Mason’s practice focuses on general corporate-commercial matters including structuring and reorganization, legislative compliance, contract negotiation, and private mergers and acquisitions. Mason also advises on franchise and distribution law, helping international businesses enter the Canadian market and assisting domestic businesses expand their operations throughout Canada.

Education

Mason takes a pragmatic and personalized approach to business law. He spends time getting to know his clients so that he can provide practical advice tailored to suit each of their unique business needs.

Mason also believes in a proactive approach to law. Rather than waiting for a legal problem or new opportunity to arise, Mason works closely with his clients to anticipate future problems and create opportunities.

Mason advises on various matters at all stages of the business life cycle. He assists with the incorporation and organization of new start-ups, the expansion and franchising of existing businesses, and the sale of those wanting to wind down or exit the market.

Mason studied economics and philosophy at Western University before obtaining his J.D. from Western University’s Faculty of Law. Prior to joining Siskinds’ Business Law Group, Mason worked for the firm as both a summer law student and articling student.

Outside of work, Mason spends most of his time golfing or tinkering with cars and motorcycles.
