Description
Mark focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and equity offerings. Mark has extensive experience leading mid-market buy and sell transactions in the range of $1 million to $100 million, working with both buyers and sellers, including private equity and family owned businesses. Mark also supports businesses raising capital by advising on seed, friends and family and series A rounds for various start-ups in the technology, health and agriculture sectors.

Mark works with a wide range of businesses, from startups to publicly traded companies, in Calgary’s technology, life sciences, cannabis and transportation sectors.

He regularly advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity transactions, continuous disclosure requirements, capital raising and corporate finance, and amalgamations and reorganizations. Mark also advises clients on TSX and TSX-V placements and regulatory compliance.

Mark has worked with numerous health professionals – including veterinarians, dentists and optometrists – on the acquisition and disposition of medical practices clinics in Alberta.

Before entering law, Mark obtained his Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Alberta and a Master of Science in urban economic development from the University College London and worked at a major Canadian financial institution.
