Konata is the head of Torys’ Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Group, is part of Torys’ M&A and Technology Groups, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee. Konata is a leader in providing legal support to startups and emerging technology companies and venture capital investors who invest in these companies. Konata regularly advises technology companies, founders, investors and other strategic and financial parties in all aspects of investing and divestiture transactions, including shareholders arrangements, majority and minority equity investments, and joint ventures. Konata has played a leading role in the firm’s relationship with burgeoning companies in Canada that are poised to effect significant change in how we do business and regularly advises the firm’s clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions involving technology companies.

Having practiced in New York, Konata provides comprehensive advice in cross-border transactions, helping clients expand their footprint in Canada, the U.S. and internationally.
