Description
Kevin Smyth is a partner and Co-Head of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups in the Toronto office. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions (both private and public).

Kevin has extensive experience working with private equity funds, private equity portfolio companies and multi-national corporations, as well as advising on all aspects of cross-border private equity. Kevin also works on matters involving venture capital investments, joint ventures and partnerships, complex shareholder agreements, and insolvency and restructuring. He represents and acts as a trusted advisor on general corporate and commercial matters for clients across a broad range of industries, including technology, food services, diversified and mining. Kevin has also acted for sponsors and sophisticated investors in connection with the establishment of several Canadian private equity funds.
