Originally from North Vancouver, Katherine “Kate” B. Lawrence obtained her BA in Political Science with Honors from Scripps College in Claremont, California. After graduating, Ms. Lawrence worked for many years as a non-profit fundraising professional.?

She returned to school and obtained her JD from Southwestern School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 2012. During her time in Los Angeles, Ms. Lawrence clerked for Prototypes and the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, non-profit organizations where she initiated various family law proceedings for victims of domestic violence. Ms. Lawrence also clerked at the Los Angeles City Attorney, Family Violence Unit, assisting in the prosecution of sexual offenders.?

Soon after Ms. Lawrence returned to Vancouver, BC, she received her National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) Certificate, and completed her Articles with a boutique family law firm in downtown Vancouver before joining North Shore Law.

Outside of the office, Ms. Lawrence enjoys travelling, volunteering in the community, playing the flute, tennis and riding her bike.
