Description
John O’Connor is a partner in the Tax Group. John’s practice involves all areas of corporate tax, focusing primarily on complex mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, along with advising tax-exempt entities. In addition, John regularly consults on a variety of technical tax matters.
Professional Activities
John is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Tax Foundation. John is also a councillor of the Canadian branch of International Fiscal Association, and a frequent author, contributor and speaker for the editorial board for the Federated Press Corporate Finance periodical, Tax Times, and the Lawyer’s Daily. He is the former Canadian Tax National Reporter for the International Bar Association.
