Description
John Lee is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Groups. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law with a particular emphasis on public and private mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, strategic transactions such as joint ventures, partnerships, and significant investments. He also regularly advises clients on corporate governance, securities law compliance, as well as general corporate and commercial matters. He has extensive experience advising multi-national and domestic corporations and private equity funds and their portfolio companies in numerous cross-border and domestic M&A and other strategic transactions across a broad range of industries.

John spent a year practising at a leading international law firm in New York, where he focused on cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity, financing and other strategic transactions.

John is also an active member of the Korea Group and is fluent in Korean.

John is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the International Association of Korean Lawyers, Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association.
