Description
Garett Morin is Counsel and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups. Garett’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial law, including private and public mergers and acquisitions.

Garett has extensive experience working with private equity funds, private equity portfolio companies and multinational corporations, as well as advising on all aspects of cross-border private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Garett also works on matters involving joint ventures, equity financings, minority, co-investment and growth equity investments, restructurings, executive compensation matters, corporate governance and other general corporate and commercial matters. He represents and acts for clients across a wide range of industries, including the technology, energy, retail, manufacturing, agriculture and professional services industries.

Professional Activities
Garett is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the State Bar of California.
Background
Prior to joining Stikeman Elliott, Garett was a Partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity group of an international law firm, where he focused on the representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies in all aspects of their businesses.
